Hi! I’m Melanie.
I was born in Northern Germany and spent my first 30 years there.
Then, thanks to a job opportunity, I moved to lovely and picturesque Switzerland for five wonderful and unforgettable years.
In 2013, LOVE made me relocate to New Jersey! I re-met a childhood friend, we fell in love, and I left everything behind to join him here in the United States. We are now happily married.
In September 2020, I decided to start my business pursuing my lifelong passion for refurbishing furniture.
And so, Refurbished Treasures by Melanie was born!
I believe the benefits of refurbishing are far greater than buying new.
My goal is to breathe new life into your treasured possessions while preserving history through the mindful reuse of materials.
I want to create a unique and meaningful piece of furniture that will bring you joy for generations.
